In an exciting development for pickleball enthusiasts, Gilbert Regional Park has been designated as the premier venue for several pickleball tournaments throughout the spring of 2024. This announcement comes as a boon for the thriving pickleball community in Gilbert and neighboring areas.
The tournaments, which promise exhilarating matches and fierce competition, will see the closure of specific courts at Gilbert Regional Park on designated dates. Here’s a breakdown of the tournaments and corresponding court closures:
Center Court Pickleball Palooza
- Courts 1-8 will be closed on February 17 from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
LevelUp Pickleball Camp
- Courts 1-6 will be closed on March 9 and March 10 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
iPickle Nation Sun Circuit
- Courts 1-8 will be closed on March 22 from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, March 23 from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and March 24 from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Pickleball is Great Spring Classic
- Courts 1-8 will be closed on April 20, April 21, April 22, and April 23 from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM each day.
It’s important to note that following the conclusion of each tournament, all pickleball courts at Gilbert Regional Park will promptly reopen to the public. However, during tournaments, court availability may be limited, and players are advised that courts will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Once capacity is met, a court rotation system will be enforced to ensure fair play for all participants.
For pickleball enthusiasts seeking alternative venues during tournament closures, Arbuckle Park and Arrowhead Meadows Park offer additional public courts for enjoyment.
