New Legacy Sports Park announces Rodney Reese as General Manager

Rodney Reese, a 20-year specialist for live events and venue management for amateur, professional, and special sports events had been announced as the General Manager by the Legacy Sports Park owners for the new 320-acre property under construction in Mesa, Arizona.  

He will join Oak View Group leading the local team and working thoroughly with Legacy Sports USA in managing the construction, planning the events, hiring staff and ensuring proper operating procedures are being followed. He will also lead with the day-to-day operations once Legacy Sports Park is opened.  

Reese has a ton of achievements in the Sporting World. He was a member of the Washington General’s basketball team, a regular opponent of the Harlem Globetrotters. He also has been a Sports Business Development Manager for ESPN World Wide Sports in Florida where he was able to establish good relationships with representatives from different sport leagues namely the NBA, Jr. NBA, Major League Soccer, several youth soccer events and professional training camps. He was assigned to different managerial positions during his 16-year career with ESPN Florida.  

The new Legacy Sports Park facility will include 16 Basketball Courts, 53 Volleyball Courts, 12 Softball/Baseball Fields, 41 Pickleball, 12 Sand Volleyball Courts, Futsal, Gymnastics Center, Dance center, Cheer Center, and a 3.5-mile walking/jogging track.

Legacy Sports USA is also committed to share its sporting facilities with the Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club which includes a 5,500 seat stadium, a 2,500 seat auxiliary stadium and many other performance/training facilities such as the five-time World Champion Dan O’Brien’s state-of-the-art performance training center.  

Legacy Sports Park will create more than 1,500 jobs and help make a direct positive economic impact within the surrounding community. Once it opens around January 2022, millions of visitors will be expected annually.
