Did you know Arizona has the second-highest child drowning rate? As the temperature rises, we encourage you to take steps to make sure children stay safe around water.

Never leave a child unattended in or near water. Always watch children when they’re in or near water. Designate an official Water Watcher, an adult tasked with supervising children in the water. When they are the Water Watcher, they shouldn’t be reading, texting, or playing games on their phone. You can get a FREE Watcher Watcher lanyard so adults can take turns! Simply visit the Klaus Team office weekdays from 9am-5pm or call 480-354-7344.

Teach children how to swim. Swimming isn’t just fun, it’s a lifesaving skill!

Install proper barriers, covers, and alarms on and around your pool and spa. It’s best to have a fence of at least four feet in height surrounding your pool or spa, and the water should only be accessible through a self-closing, self-latching gate.

Know how to perform CPR on children and adults. Often in child drowning incidents, family and friends are the first on scene, so learning CPR can help save a life. The Klaus Team Water Watcher tags provide instructions for compression-only CPR, but it is best to take CPR classes and get certified – you never know whose life you might save!

Get your FREE Water Watcher tag and lanyard by visiting The Klaus Team office at 2919 S Ellsworth Rd #133 on the Southeast Corner of Ellsworth and Guadalupe behind the Sonic.
