Desert Ridge won their Division I playoff game Friday 44-24 over #12 Brophy. The #4 Desert Ridge Jaguars will face #1 Mountain Pointe on November 22 at McClintock High School in Tempe.
Junior tailback Taren Morrison rushed for 358 yards and got five touchdowns. This helped break the big-school record for total rushing yards in a season, set by Tucson High in 1970.
“We knew we were close, but we just wanted to come out and play our game, and let that take care of itself,” said Morrison.
